| おはようございます。 今日は朝10時のバスに乗って、エルサレムから死海にやって きました。 死海の海抜はマイナス418mと、地表で最も低い場所にあります。 エルサレムのセントラルバスステーションから、 死海のパブリックビーチのある場所までは約1時間30分。 ここが死海のパブリックビーチのあるバス停。 Good morning. We came to the Dead Sea from Jerusalem by bus which left at 10 am. The Dead Sea is at 418m below sea level, it is the lowest place on the earth. It took about an hour from the central bus station in Jerusalem to a public beach of the Dead Sea. Here is the nearest bus stop to the Dead Sea. |

| 目の前に広がるのが死海。 砂埃がひどいのか、かすみがかっていますが。 パブリックビーチ（無料）とはいえ、とってもキレイです。 無料のシャワーも併設されていて、パラソルもあるし、とても 充実しています。 The Dead Sea is now open in front of us. It looks misty due to cloud of sand. Although here is the public beach, it is very clean. Facilities, such as showers at no charge, parasols and so on, are fulfilling. |

| いよいよ死海へ。 でも僕はまずは浜辺でお留守番。 死海の塩分濃度は傷口のある人や、海水が目に入ったりしたら 激痛が走ります。 ちょっとやそっとでは痛みは消えず、しっかりと洗い流さないと いけない、ということで、僕の足や手には転んだ時の擦り傷が、 顔にもキズが何箇所かあるので、今回は要注意！！ 浜辺では目に海水が入った子や、 キズがあったまま入ってしまった 子供達がたくさん泣いていました・・・ Finally, I tried to go into the water, but I first had to stay on the beach. The salt density of the Dead Sea water is very high, so it produces severe pain at wound, cut, eye or the like. It is very hard to alleviate such a pain unless we completely wash away the salty water. I have scratches on my feet, hand and face, so stopped going into the water. I saw a lot of children crying on the beach. They suffered from the seawater. |

| まずは、パパが死海へ。 ものすごく浮く！！！ 何か板の上に乗っているかのように浮きます。 死海の塩分は通常の海の10倍！33％も濃度があります。 試しに舐めたら、塩辛いを通り越して、 ちょ～苦い！！ Daddy first went into the Dead Sea. It was very easy to float in the water. He could float in the seawater as if he was on the board. The salt density of the Dead Sea is 33 times of the usual sea. It is 33%. I tasted it. It was very bitter rather than salty. |

| 次に死海に浮いて遊んだのはママ！ 「めちゃくちゃ浮く～～～！」 といいながら、あっちへプカプカ、こっちへプカプカと。 死海の塩分濃度が濃いのは、ヨルダン川から入ってくる水の 出口がなくて、溜まった水が、イスラエルの強い日差しによって どんどんと蒸発してしまって、水中の塩分が濃縮されてしまうから だそうです。 それにしても楽しそうだ！ The reason why the salt density of the Dead Sea is concentrated is that it has no exit where the water flows out, so the water flowing in from the Jordan River stays there. Over time, water is evaporated by strong sunshine and salt is left. |

| 一通り遊んだあと、浜辺でランチ！ 最近はお食事中に僕の踊りを披露しています。 この後、15時のバスに乗り、3時間かけて、 エジプトとの国境のある町、エイラットへ向かいました。 エイラットに着いたのが18時すぎ。 今夜はエイラットに泊まって、明日朝一番でエジプトに戻ります！ After playing briefly, we had lunch on the beach. After that, we took the bus leaving at 3 pm, and it took 3 hours to get to Eilat located near the border of Egypt. We stayed in Eilat and were going to go back to Egypt early tomorrow morning. |
